Aim:

The immediate functional changes can be quite spectacular: the discontinuation of symptoms and complaints, which was verified in laboratory tests, and / or instrumental examinations later. In my presentation I will demonstrate a case which was followed for 10 months (instrumentally documented: on tympanogram) to confirm that laser acupuncture and local soft laser treatment may result in immediate changes and improvement without causing any pain.

Material and Methods:

The ear acupuncture points and the auditory meatus were treated by 500 mW soft laser pen.

Results:

The boy was treated on two occasions altogether. Between the first and second treatment 39 days elapsed. As early as after the first treatment the child was already able to hear and he understood whispers, disproving the instrumental examination: his physician recorded the following on the treatment sheet "subjectively the hearing seems to be correct!”  According to what his mother said, after the treatment "...already there in the consulting room the child started to behave differently, for several weeks he was very calm and focussed and we could cope with him well, and after the second treatment his understanding of speech and then his speech itself started to improve enormously".

Conclusion:

I would like to use this documented and instrumentally measured case to demonstrate that during the first treatment already or thereafter significant improvement and/or even complete recovery can be achieved with children with loss of hearing, middle ear infection (oitis) or nose tonsil disorder.
