THE DOCUMENTED TRACKING OF DIAGNOSTICS AND EAR ACUPUNCTURE THERAPY OF HEADACHE VS. DEPRESSION, OR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

Aim:
In my presentation I will describe a case of headache and high blood-pressure, which was documented and tracked. We used the integrated diagnostic and therapeutic procedures of Western and Oriental medicine in order to achieve a good result.

Material and method:
In the case of a patient with a headache the lab-MRI-EEG tests were performed according to the regime of Western medicine, and modern meridian-diagnostics were also applied pursuant to the principles of Chinese medicine, while in the case of the patient with high blood pressure 24-hour ABPM monitor diagnostics were applied. In the therapy in both cases ear acupuncture was used with needles. In addition to the needles, soft laser ear acupuncture was also used with Bach-flower essence mixture.

Results:
In the headache/depression case the Lab-MRI-EEG test of Western medicine was closed with negative results, while the Chinese meridian diagnostics identified major energy blocks, then the balance of the meridians showed improvements parallel with the patient’s also feeling better. As it can be seen on the graph – after the ear acupuncture treatment his blood pressure as well as his pulse was restored to normal. This example has objectively presents the immediate effect of ear acupuncture in case of hypertonia and tachycardia.

Conclusion:
In the headache/depression case the parallel application of the Western and Oriental medicine in the diagnostics demonstrates that Western medicine is not able to detect yet the pathological factors by using lab and instrumental tests (lab-MRI-EEG), however the meridian diagnostics support the subjective report of patients at the same time. Also, without the adverse side effects of drugs with ear acupuncture and Bach flower drops we could achieve success by using integrated Western and Eastern therapies.
